Broward County Library

College and University Libraries
Online in Broward County

Broward County Library (BCL) offers links to the online catalogs and reference databases of several college and university libraries with campuses located in Broward County. They offer several electronic resources that are not accessible from the BCL catalog. For instance, many Nova Southeastern University (NSU) resources are available to all county residents, county employees and Broward County School Board employees who do not reside in the county.

Please note: Each academic institution determines the eligibility for use of their resources, and requires a library card that is from their institution.

Nova Southeastern University Public Databases - Alphabetical Listing

Registered Broward County users may access many databases and other online resources in the NSU Electronic Library with an active NSU Library account/card; a Broward County Library account/card will NOT work. For information on how to obtain an NSU Library account/card, please contact the Circulation Services Desk at 954-262-4601.

Applications to obtain a NSU card are also available at all Broward County Library locations. BCL staff will confirm that the information is correct and will then fax your completed application and a cover memo to the NSU Circulation Services Desk for your convenience. Your Florida driver’s license or State ID information must be included on the application. Your NSU library card will be mailed to your home address.
