Florida Center for the Book Presents Women
of Mystery
Join us as we continue our popular Women of
Mystery book discussions with lively dialogue about contemporary
literary and social issues. July's selection is Suspicion
of Malice by South Florida's own best-selling mystery
author Barbara Parker.
In Suspicion of Malice, Parker reunites
Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana for a shocking case that
exposes the underbelly of sleek Miami - a case that could
bring them closer together, or destroy everything they hold
dear.
Discussion will be led by Sun-Sentinel
Mystery Columnist Oline Cogdill.
The event will be held on Tuesday, July 19
at 6 pm on the 6th floor of the Main Library in the Bienes
Center.
Please call 954-357-7401 to RSVP for this
event.

in July at the African-American Research Library and Cultural
Center at 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
An exhibition featuring the paintings of Florida's
Highwaymen Artists will be on display at the library July

artists who, in the late 1950s, began painting landscapes
of natural Florida. Some of the original Highwaymen, as well
as some second generation Highwaymen, are scheduled to attend
a reception for the library exhibit at 7 p.m., July 8.
