Broward County Library
Library Card Applicaton

Please Read before going on to the form below. Only people who live, work, or attend school in Broward are eligible for a free library card. We can only issue a library card over the web to residents of Broward County.

If you are not a resident, or you need to reregister for a library card, do not fill out an on-line application. Please visit one of our library locations in order to get a library card.

If qualified, a library card number will be mailed out within 4 business days from the receipt of the application with all the required information filled out. An on-line card will allow the use of the Broward County Library catalog and all of the databases we subscribe to.

In order to use a Broward County Library to check out materials, upon your first visit to one of our locations, you will have to go to the Circulation Services Desk to fill out a Broward County Library Card Application/Contract and sign the Responsibility Statement. You must present valid photo ID with proper address verification. Click here to see the list of acceptable identification.
