locate the titles.
What Do I Read Next? can help you discover
new reading adventures or find long-remembered favorites.
This free online resource includes more than 115,000
recommended titles, more than 60,000 plot summaries,
and reading lists from more than 500 awards for great
reading for children, young adults and adults. And,
it is updated quarterly, so there are always lots
of new suggestions.
There is also a monthly highlights page available
to see selections of award winners, upcoming titles,
and titles that revolve around different subjects
each month. For June, there are recommended titles
for Fathers, Flags, Graduations, Weddings and the
anniversary of the independence of the Philippines.

The database is available from any computer at the
library's 38 branches, and staff is available to assist
you to locate the information you need. Or, you can
access the database from home or work 24/7, at the
above web site with a valid library card.
What Do I Read Next? automatically searches
for both fiction and non-fiction titles for all ages
If you wish to limit your search by age level or just
fiction or non-fiction, click on the checked boxes
at the top of any search screen to de-select the categories
you want to exclude. Knowing that people search for
a book to read using many methods, this easy-to-use
database offers you several ways to start.
The three most common ways are to search by Author,
Title/Series Title or by Genre. You will either type
the information you know, or select from pre-defined
choices in drop-down windows. If you are less sure
of what your want to read, n select "Help Me
Find a Book". You will be asked to enter a title
of a book you've enjoyed, and a choice of similar
titles will appear. If you like a book with a certain
type of plot, character, or time period, choose the
search method known as "Who? What? When? Where?"
Use the drop-down windows to select from a several
choices, and suggested titles will then be provided
for you.
